Job Title: K-12 Special Education Intervention Specialist (Virtual Classroom)

Location: Remote

Job Type: Full-Time 7:45-3:15 M-F  School Year)

School: Buckeye Online School for Success (BOSS)

• Maintain a daily bell schedule and regularly collaborate with students, parents, and staff.
• Prepare and update accessible, engaging lessons aligned to Ohio State Content Standards, using accommodations and modifications as needed.
• Grade assignments, report modified grades to general education teachers, and ensure IEP accommodations are followed.
• Write IEPs, contribute to ETRs, and monitor progress on goals quarterly.
• Use varied instructional methods to deliver remediation, enrichment, and interventions.
• Administer statewide and district assessments; monitor weekly student progress and participation.
• Communicate regularly with students and families to support engagement and achievement; document interactions.
• Address academic and behavioral concerns and refer to support services when needed.
• Attend family events, field trips, and testing sessions.
• Support students with scheduling, technology use, and work habits.
• Prepare supplemental resources during tech interruptions.
• Participate in conferences, professional development, evaluations, and graduation ceremonies.
• Maintain a professional and organized workspace.
• Work toward and maintain highly qualified status in all core content areas.

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education
• Hold a valid Ohio teacher license for K-12 Intervention Specialist or equivalent
• Clean FBI/BCI background check
• Experience in online teaching is preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a remote environment
• Proficiency in Google Tools
• Ability to efficiently learn and apply a variety of online educational tools
• Flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to student success
