JOB DESCRIPTION FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH MINISTER/COORDINATOR
Title:
Children and Youth Minister
Strengthen children, youth, and families.
Compensation and BenefitsFull‑time salary $50,000–$60,000, 10 days of PT time, 5 holidays, and a 2‑bedroom, 1‑bath apartment (~1,200 sqft) valued at approximately $18,000.
Planning and Execution- Meet and develop a quarterly calendar with key constituencies and disseminate it.
- Oversee and work with the congregation on planning and execution of activities.
- Collaborate with the Director of VBS and the committee on planning and execution of VBS.
- Teach children/youth classes on Wednesday and Sunday.
- Equip, lead, and provide oversight for teachers.
- Oversee and lead young men’s and young women’s training.
- Oversee and lead Carpenter Kids.
- Preach/teach adults as assigned.
- Chair the Youth Committee.
- Serve as the key person for all things children and youth.
- Assist the minister as needed and support an evangelistic lifestyle.
- Build intergenerational community within the congregation.
- Handle administrative responsibilities.
- Meet weekly with the minister (Elijah Bell) and additional meetings as needed.
Some Bible or ministry education.
