Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor – Family Science & Social Work Department
AppointmentAppointment begins August 17, 2026, with possibility of renewal for up to five years contingent on performance and funding.
Positions AvailableTwo positions available.
ResponsibilitiesTeach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in social work within the Department of Family Science and Social Work.
Minimum Qualifications- Ph.D. or terminal degree in Family Science or Social Work, or closely related field by the date of appointment and a minimum of two years of post-master’s practice experience for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor.
- Master's (or ABD) in Social Work or closely related field by date of appointment and a minimum of two years of post-master’s practice experience for appointment as Instructor.
- Consideration may be given to candidates with applied professional experience, including but not limited to a minimum of five years post-master’s practice experience; those holding licensure (e.g., LSW, LISW, LISW‑S) in social work; and those with experience teaching hybrid or fully online as well as face‑to‑face courses.
