Position Type:
Classroom Instructional (Non‑Certified) / ECE Instructional Assistant
Salary: $18.27/hr – $20.07/hr;
Critical Need Stipend $3.50/hr; ECE Instructional Assistant Stipend $1.00/hr working calendar: 187 days / 7 hours.
Supports students in Exceptional Child Education (ECE) classrooms by assisting with implementation of individual education plans, helping establish a safe and structured learning environment, and working with students who have a variety of disabilities including Moderate to Severe Disabilities, Mild Mental Disabilities, Other Health Impairments, Emotional Behavioral Disabilities, Autism, Visual Impairment, Hearing Impairment, Learning Disabilities, and Social Communication disorders.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Passing score on the KPA (Kentucky Para educator Exam) or 48 college semester hours.
- Willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities.
- Physical ability and willingness to assist with positioning, toileting, and lifting of students.
- Willingness to attend district ECE in‑service professional‑growth sessions.
