Schedule:
1A Grade 4.
Working Calendar: 187 days / 7 hours.
Salary Range: $18.27/hr – $20.07/hr.
Critical Need Stipend: $3.50/hr and ECE Instructional Assistant Stipend: $1.00/hr as per Board-approved salary placement rules/schedules.
Exceptional Child Education (ECE) programs are designed to meet the educational needs of students with disabilities. The district is committed to providing high‑quality education for these students. Programs, techniques, methods, and materials are utilized for individualized instruction in comprehensive and special education facilities. Assignments may involve students with moderate to severe disabilities, mild mental disabilities, other health impairments, emotional behavioral disabilities, autism, visual or hearing impairments, learning disabilities, social communication challenges, or combinations thereof.
Assignment changes may occur during or between school years based on student and classroom needs.
Assist in implementing each student's individualized education plan; help establish and maintain a pleasant, safe, and structured learning environment; display willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities; provide supportive assistance as required.
Minimum Qualifications- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Passing score on the KPA (Kentucky Para educator Exam) or 48 college semester hours.
- Willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities.
- Physical ability and willingness to assist with physical needs of students such as positioning, toileting, and lifting.
- Willingness to attend district ECE in‑service professional development.
