175 Day contract / Summer, Nights and Weekends Off!/$11.45-$13.77

Cafeteria Aide

• Has a high school diploma or G.E.D. certificate.
• Has the ability to read and follow written directions.
• Has the ability to stand and walk continuously for a period of at least two hours.
• Has demonstrated the ability or potential to communicate and work effectively with students and staff.

Principal

Supervise the cafeteria during lunchtime.

• Be familiar with and follow written policies, procedures and directions from supervisor related to job responsibilities.
• Assist students in finding seats.
• Monitor the conduct and manners of students.
• Assist students in opening milk cartons, thermos, etc.
• Give permission to students needing to be excused to go to restroom.
• Remind children, when necessary, to leave eating area clean and orderly.
• See that tables and chairs are clean and ready for the next class.
• Give students a warning for first minor inappropriate behavior.
• Notify the principal when extreme misconduct occurs.
• Report to the principal any concerns for improving the dining pleasure of all students.
• Assist students in lining up when lunch period is over.
• Perform other duties consistent with the position assigned as may be requested by the supervisor.
