Position Overview
ECE Instructional Assistant (MSD) – Tully Elementary (2026‑2027). Start time 7:30 am.
Location:
Tully Elementary. Available 08/01/2026. Closing date 07/16/2026.
Grade: 8 (1A). Salary: $24.52/hr – $26.96/hr stipend: $1.00 per hour.
Working calendar: 187 days / 7 hours per day.
Job DescriptionExceptional Child Education (ECE) programs are designed to meet the needs of students with disabilities. The district is committed to providing high‑quality education for students with disabilities in comprehensive and special education facilities.
Assignments may include students with moderate to severe disabilities (MSD), mild mental disabilities (MMD), other health impairments (OHI), emotional behavioral disabilities (EBD), autism (AUT), visual impairment (VI), hearing impairment (HI), learning disabilities (LD), social communication or a combination of each area. Changes in assignment or ECE designation may occur during the school year or between school years.
Scope of Responsibilities- Assists in implementing each student's individualized education plan.
- Supports a pleasant, safe, and structured learning environment.
- Works with students with disabilities with willingness and aptitude.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Passing score on the Kentucky Para educator Exam (KPA) or 48 college semester hours.
- Willingness and aptitude to work with students with disabilities.
- Physical ability to assist with positioning, toileting, and lifting students.
- Willingness to attend district ECE in‑service professional growth sessions.
