Elementary and Middle School Homeroom Teachers

Almadina Academy is a charter non‑public K–8 school founded in 2017, offering a rigorous education within an Islamic learning environment. Located in Central Ohio and licensed by the Ohio Department of Education, the school integrates secular and Islamic curriculum while upholding Islamic and Muslim values. Almadina Academy serves a diverse community of Muslim children, nurturing their identity as Muslim Americans and encouraging them to explore and develop their talents.

We are looking for multiple Elementary and Middle school Homeroom Teacher roles. The roles are full‑time, on‑site position based in Ohio, United States. The teacher will plan and deliver age‑appropriate lessons that integrate state academic standards with Islamic values, ensuring students progress in core subjects such as language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. Responsibilities include creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment, assessing student learning, providing differentiated instruction, and maintaining accurate records of student performance.

The teacher will collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and school leadership to align classroom instruction with the school’s mission and curriculum. Additional duties include communicating regularly with families, participating in professional development, upholding administrative duties such as lesson planning, and contributing to school events and activities that promote community engagement.

• Ability to design and deliver standards‑based, engaging lessons for elementary or middle school students, with skill in classroom management and differentiated instruction.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues in a diverse school community.
• Commitment to fostering an Islamic learning environment that supports students’ spiritual, social, and emotional development while respecting all backgrounds.
• Organizational and time‑management skills to handle lesson planning, grading, documentation, and ongoing assessment of student progress.
• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field and valid or eligible Ohio teaching license is strongly preferred.
• Experience working in K–8 or elementary school settings
• Demonstrated commitment to professional growth, openness to feedback, and flexibility in adapting to school needs and curricular updates.
