Work Schedule:

Full-time (40 hours/week), with a schedule that may include any day of the week, including days, evenings, weekends, and the holidays the Library is open.

What Youll Do
Build and maintain strong partnerships with schools, preschools, childcare providers, educators, and community organizations throughout Kenton County.

Deliver engaging library programs, story times, book talks, and outreach services for children, students, caregivers, and community members.

Connect patrons with library resources, collections, and services through responsive, customer-focused support in a variety of outreach settings.

Promote early literacy, kindergarten readiness, reading engagement, digital resources, and library services to families, educators, and community partners.

Coordinate and provide classroom collections, rotating deposits, educator resources, and other materials that support learning and literacy goals.

Represent the Library at community events, literacy initiatives, resource fairs, family engagement activities, and partner meetings.

Collaborate with Library staff to support system-wide programs, projects, events, and outreach initiatives.

Evaluate outreach programs, services, and collections by tracking outcomes, gathering feedback, and maintaining accurate reports and documentation.

Identify community needs and opportunities while helping expand access to Library resources, programs, and services across Kenton County.

Perform other job-related tasks as needed to support Library operations.

Qualifications Required
Bachelors degree required. Education and/or experience in Early Childhood or Primary Education preferred. KDLA certification (or ability to obtain) at the level required for this position, and the ability to maintain it.

Demonstrated customer-service experience, patience under pressure, and comfort interacting with a wide range of patrons.

Work at other KCPL Branches and community partner locations required. Valid drivers license and means of transportation to fulfill job responsibilities.

Following training, must drive and park a 28-foot RV truck and other Library vehicles.
