This full-time position will report to the assistant director for community partnerships in the Office of Service-Learning.
The mission of the University of Georgia Office of Service-Learning is to support academic service-learning and community engagement initiatives that enhance student learning, support engaged scholarship, and address community needs. The OSL is a jointly supported unit of Public Service and Outreach and the Office of Instruction.
The OSL serves as a hub for campus and community collaborations and works with over 100 community partners each year. The program coordinator will engage with and provide support for school-based partnerships.
Primary responsibilities include the following key activities:
- Coordinating all aspects of after-school program.
- supervising graduate assistant and Lead Success Coaches
- Managing student workers.
- Facilitating UGA service-learning projects and recruiting UGA student volunteers.
- Developing and delivering training and preparation for UGA students involved in the after-school program.
- Working with internal and external partners to evaluate program success.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with partners, both internal and external to UGA .
- Ability to work independently on complex tasks and to resolve problems or conflicts in a mature and professional way.
