- Motivated
This position covers Northern Ohio including Cuyahoga, Medina, Huron, and Erie counties. You must live in one of these listed counties or an adjacent county to be eligible for this position.
- Performs field inspections using approved architectural &/or engineer designed drawings.
- Coordinates inspections with the other inspectors & supervisor when needed during the course of construction.
- Conducts, as needed, inspections of existing buildings & structures for safety to determine if Certificates of Occupancy may be issued.
- Prepares detailed reports (written or electronic) on inspections performed for submission to the bureau office.
- Itemizes violations to the electrical & building codes.

Certificate of competency as electrical safety inspector as issued by Board of Building Standards, per Section 3783.03 of Revised Code; valid driver's license.

The final candidate selected for this position will be required to undergo a criminal background check as well as other investigative reviews. An applicant with a positive test shall not be offered employment unless the applicant submits medical documentation of legally prescribed medications or a recommendation for medical marijuana.
