This position covers South‑Central Ohio including Fayette, Ross, Vinton, Highland & Jackson Counties. You must live in one of these listed counties or an adjacent county to be eligible for this position.
Responsibilities- Performs field inspections using approved architectural and/or engineer designed drawings.
- Coordinates inspections with other inspectors and the supervisor when needed during construction.
- Conducts, as needed, inspections of existing buildings and structures for safety to determine if certificates of occupancy may be issued.
- Prepares detailed reports (written or electronic) on inspections performed for submission to the bureau office.
- Itemizes violations to the electrical and building codes.

QualificationsCertificate of competency as electrical safety inspector issued by Board of Building Standards, per Section 3783.03 of the Revised Code; valid driver’s license.
