Job Overview

Position within JE Dunn's Advanced Facilities Group focused on mission‑critical construction projects across Industrial, Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor sectors.

Key Responsibilities – Core
  • Perform safety and quality duties, fostering an injury‑free culture and mentoring others.
  • Coordinate with QA/QC planning, ensuring quality compliance for assigned tasks.
  • Participate in estimating, change management, quantity take‑off, and subcontractor proposal review.
  • Support the project team on site monitoring crew size, self‑perform hours, materials, quantities, and equipment.
  • Contribute to punch lists, city inspections, safety and quality reviews, and necessary documentation.
  • Post drawings and specifications with current information.
  • Organize and attend project meetings; prepare and disseminate required documentation.
  • Inspect work, prepare daily reports, weekly progress reports, unit reporting, percentage complete, manpower, production schedules, and equipment tracking reports.
  • Conduct job‑site observations with project leadership.
  • Create procurement logs, track shop drawings, and follow up on deliveries per the project schedule.
  • Provide progress updates and schedule support.
  • Oversee project close‑out including punch lists, operations and maintenance manuals, as‑built drawings, etc.
  • Apply company best‑practice standards for building and construction techniques.
  • Develop relationships and communication skills with tradespeople and project team members such as foremen, journeymen, superintendents, and subcontractors.
  • Understand various functions and support roles across the company.
  • Demonstrate teamwork within the project setting.
  • Introduce Lean practices into routine activities.
  • Apply best practices for identifying, developing, and integrating self‑perform opportunities.
Key Responsibilities – Additional Core
  • Lead the preparation of estimates for the base project, self‑perform work, and change requests; establish scopes of work and subcontractor identification.
  • Make decisions on subcontractor and vendor selection.
  • Coordinate purchase orders for material timing and delivery, handling product changes and repairs as needed.
  • Support job set‑up and project administration in CMiC and other company technologies.
  • Lead the submittal process to align with the project schedule.
  • Prepare and manage the project schedule, outlining the work plan and sequence for the assigned portion.
  • Analyze and report production statistics for key project components.
  • Manage project risks including subcontractor performance, financials, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate meetings: pre‑planning and post‑construction, monthly reviews, progress, and Owner Architect Contractor (OAC) meetings.
  • Review and approve monthly subcontractor and vendor pay applications.
  • Demonstrate a general understanding of owner contract terms and subcontract agreement conditions.
  • Initiate discussions on potential issues to solve problems collaboratively.
  • Lead the project close‑out process: create and manage punch lists, track and control quality and costs for assigned scopes, and schedule inspections.
  • Provide training and mentorship to others.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Accurate and timely work performance.

  • Proficiency in MS Office.
  • Understanding of organizational structure and available resources.
  • Ability to apply fundamentals of construction management methods and techniques.
  • Knowledge of project processes supporting successful project completion.

  • Knowledge of specific trades and scopes of work.

  • Leadership skills to achieve production goals and collaborate within and outside the team.
Education

Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field. Equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
