** Job Summary*
* • Mechanical Subject Matter Expert with a focus on Gas and Steam Turbines. Normal career level cap position within the engineering hierarchy.  
• General analysis and implementation of generation Mechanical technologies for application to Vistra Operations and Maintenance.  
• Manage programs and projects to enhance the commercial availability of new technologies and enhancement to existing technologies.
** Job Description
*** Technical support for the fossil fleet operations and maintenance for rotating equipment
* Perform root cause analysis
* Provide innovative engineering solutions for difficult problems
* Contributes to economic justification/analysis for projects
* Participate in and lead special projects or teams
* Individual contributor in Mechanical Rotating Equipment Engineering
* Provides technical support on a fleetwide basis, specific to turbines
* Maintain effective working relationships.  Be able to explain technical information to ensure work/repairs completed correctly.
* BS or greater in an Engineering discipline
* Licensed Professional Engineer or meets additional years of experience requirements
* Demonstrates and applies knowledge of current and pending regulatory, code and general industry issues to resolve Vistra’s interests.
* Proficient with technical evaluation processes.
* Proficient in fossil, solar, battery, or nuclear plant technologies
* Minimum 8 years experience in power plant operations / engineering or comparable industries
* Demonstrates application of fundamental scientific principles
* Communication –Must be able to effectively communicate with peers, management and/or represent Vistra’s interests to outside agencies
* Able to execute projects/strategies with some oversight.
* Demonstrated high performer through consecutive evaluations or work history for external candidates.
