Dizario Search is conducting a search for an Environmental Engineer located in Hancock County, Kentucky
. This opportunity is with a well‑established industrial manufacturing organization operating within the metals and aluminum products sector, serving automotive, commercial, and industrial markets. The Environmental Engineer will play a key role in supporting site‑wide environmental compliance, permitting, and sustainability initiatives while partnering closely with plant operations and leadership.
This individual will provide technical expertise across air, water, waste, and chemical compliance programs and help ensure the facility maintains strong regulatory performance and risk mitigation standards.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations (air, water, and waste)
- Manage environmental permitting, reporting, inspections, and agency coordination
- Support Title V air permitting and NESHAPS compliance programs
- Oversee water treatment, stormwater, spill prevention, and waste management programs
- Conduct environmental audits and support ISO 14001 environmental management system activities
- Partner with operations to implement compliant and effective environmental procedures
- Maintain regulatory records and support required reporting (including TRI and community right‑to‑know)
- Serve as a technical resource during environmental incidents and emergency response situations
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years of environmental compliance or environmental engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial settings
- Strong knowledge of EPA, state, and local environmental regulations
- Experience with permitting, reporting, inspections, and audits
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 environmental management systems
- Strong technical writing, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
- Experience in aluminum, metals, or heavy manufacturing environments preferred
