Software/Firmware Verification Engineer
Tektronix (a wholly owned subsidiary of Ralliant Corporation) is seeking a Software Verification Engineer to support new product development, sustainment, and quality validation. The engineer will assess embedded firmware, instrument interfaces, software, and customer use‑case testing to ensure products meet specifications and design documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement test plans and methodologies, and conduct testing to ensure software products adhere to functional requirements.
- Design test fixtures and develop automated test software.
- Select appropriate testing tools and equipment for specified testing efforts.
- Document test designs, policies, and procedures; create, review, and maintain formal testing procedures.
- Collaborate with design and sustainment engineering teams to resolve software product conformance issues.
- Participate in scheduling testing activities, monitor project status, and provide regular updates to the supervisor.
- Establish a framework for required contributions from different departments and facilitate collaboration.
- Document and monitor testing results and define steps to address problems.
- Analyze current technologies used in the company and develop steps and processes to improve testing procedures.
- Document test cases and create effective, focused testing plans.
- Coordinate with departments to ensure hardware availability and functionality.
- Provide detailed specifications for proposed testing, including time and scope.
- Define clear goals for all aspects of product testing and develop execution steps.
- Understand testing methodologies and recommend strategies when necessary.
- Keep up-to-date with best practices regarding system security measures.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field (preferred).
- Familiarity with precision and general test measurement equipment.
- Experience with IVI‑C/IVI‑Com/Visa drivers.
- Proficiency in , C++, Python, and Lua.
- Ability to achieve complete code‑coverage requirements and perform analysis.
- Proven ability to work in a team‑oriented and collaborative environment.
- Capacity to prioritize and execute tasks effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with precision and general test measurement equipment.
- Background knowledge in statistics.
This position is eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.
Pay RangeSalary range: 52,200. (local currency).
