About the Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer I at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of cutting-edge mechanical solutions. Your strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies will ensure that the products developed under your leadership meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. Your proficiency in CAD software and other design tools will enable you to effectively oversee the design process and ensure the delivery of innovative and high-performance mechanical solutions.
You will report directly to our Mechanical Engineering Manager and work out of our Mason, OH location on a hybrid work schedule.
Note:
New hires are required to report onsite M-F for the first 90 days.
- Lead and drive the mechanical design process, from concept to project turnover.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define mechanical requirements and specifications.
- Design and develop complex conveyor MHE systems.
- Perform mechanical analysis and simulations to ensure project performance and reliability.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and methodologies.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software.
- Experience with mechanical analysis and simulation tools.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
