Project Engineer - Mechanical Engineering

essential duties:

• heavy machinery design and application of engineering practices that incorporate both electric and hydraulic drives
• generate detailed drawings for manufacturing
• project management
• interaction with production and engineering personnel to design utilizing best practices

requirements:

• b.s. In mechanical engineering required
• 3 – 7 years of engineering experience required
• proficiency in solidworks or equivalent 3d cad software
• fea and simulation experience preferred
• understanding of weldments and machining tolerances
• experience in manufacturing/machine design
• industrial hydraulics experience preferred
• good understanding of engineering design concepts, and material properties
• ability to use clear, concise, and grammatically correct verbal and written communication skills
• demonstrated competency in microsoft office, including working knowledge of microsoft word, excel, and power point
• ability to receive and retain instructions in a productive manner; ability to prioritize, keep multiple projects and tasks on schedule
• ability to solve problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
• demonstrated ability to handle various tasks simultaneously, organize, prioritize, make decisions and work efficiently and effectively under deadlines

work environment: full-time onsite inside office environment. Average office noise levels. No personal protective equipment is required, with the exception of occasional visits to the shop.

physical requirements: low physical effort required to sit, stand at files, bend, stoop, lift, and walk; typing and reading computer and data entry.
