Paint Process Engineer

We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Permanent Paint Process Engineer to join our growing team. In this role, you will develop, implement, and optimize paint processes to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in our production lines. You will work with cutting‑edge machinery and robotics, leading continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Work environment:
Combination office/shop setting.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and optimize paint processes to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to understand product requirements and translate them into process parameters.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for paint process issues and develop corrective and preventive actions.
  • Work closely with ABB Robotics to implement automated painting systems and improve existing ones.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using methodologies such as 5S and Kaizen.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for paint processes.
  • Train and mentor team members on paint process techniques and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Lead and participate in process audits to ensure adherence to standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Stay updated on latest technologies and trends in paint processes and incorporate them into operations.
  • Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Process Engineering, preferably in paint processes.
  • Proficiency with ABB Robotics and automation systems.
  • Solid understanding of continuous improvement methodologies such as 5S and Kaizen.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to conduct root cause analysis.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to train and mentor team members.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations in the paint industry.
  • Ability to stay updated on latest technologies and trends in paint processes.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and CAD software.
