We are hiring a full‑time Wastewater Operator to join our team at on‑site digester facilities in Minster, OH
.

The ideal candidate will oversee operations at our industrial food and beverage anaerobic digester pretreatment facilities, ensuring the quality of treated effluent through effective process management and decision‑making.

This position involves monitoring, troubleshooting, and diagnosing plant systems, including pumps, piping, tanks, and related equipment. Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you will work closely with plant operators, vendors, and management.

This is a flexible role that may include on‑call or weekend hours. The schedule will be determined.

• Monitor plant and equipment performance, including hydraulic flows, temperatures, pH, COD, VFA, pressures, and renewable power generation.
• Conduct compliance audits, safety inspections, and routine reporting; upload results into the required tracking system.
• Optimize facility throughput, including feedstock volume, effluent volume, and renewable energy production.
• Manage inventory of consumables such as chemicals, reagents, and spare parts using CMMS.
• Oversee biological processes, feedstock receiving, hydraulic pumping, chemical feed systems, filtration systems, phosphorus sequestration, solids removal, and biogas utilization.
• Ensure compliance with state and local wastewater, air quality, and solid waste permits.
• Obtain and maintain an active Ohio Wastewater Treatment Facility Operator License and complete continuing education requirements.

• Current Ohio Grade II Industrial Wastewater Treatment Operator certificate (or higher), preferred.
• Three years of relevant experience as an operator, in RNG, construction, and/or in industrial maintenance.
• Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems and/or ability to assist/work on pumps, piping, electric motors, generators, instruments, and basic building maintenance.
• Experience with the use of PLC’s, controls, and instruments (pressure, temperature, flow, pH).
• Basic computer skills including spreadsheets, email, PDFs, document downloading, ordering, cost reporting and timesheets.
• Experience coordinating and working with welders, plumbers, electricians, insulators, and startup technicians, preferred.
• Experience using a CMMS – FIIX experience, preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, climb, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying conditions (indoors/outdoors, occasional exposure to odors and chemicals).

• $28 - $33 / hr. depending on relevant experience.

• This role is based in our Minster, OH facility, but will require training at our facilities located in Vermont.
• Position is subject to 24‑hour call‑out.
