The RoleAs Engineering Manager, you will:
- Lead the technical delivery of hyperscale and colocation data centers projects from design through construction, commissioning, and operational handover
- Drive engineering coordination across electrical, mechanical, HVAC, civil, fire protection, controls, and critical infrastructure disciplines
- Partner closely with programme delivery, construction, commissioning, and operations teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards
- Manage engineering consultants, EPC contractors, and specialist vendors throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee technical governance, design reviews, value engineering initiatives, and engineering change management
Coordinate utility providers, equipment manufacturers, and key stakeholders to maintain programme milestones and delivery objectives - Identify technical risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve complex engineering challenges across multiple concurrent projects
- Support programme reporting, cost forecasting, schedule management, and engineering performance metrics
- Mentor and develop engineers within the team while building the leadership capability required to progress into senior programme leadership
- Play a key role in supporting future campus expansion projects as the organisation continues to scale across North America
You will bring:
- Proven experience delivering complex engineering programmes across design, construction, commissioning, and client handover
- Strong understanding of critical MEP infrastructure including HV/MV distribution, UPS, generators, cooling systems, BMS/EPMS, fire protection, and control systems
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, consultants, contractors, and client stakeholders
- Strong commercial awareness with experience supporting programme schedules, budgets, procurement, and risk management
- Knowledge of Uptime Institute, NFPA, TIA, IEC, and other mission‑critical engineering standards
- Degree qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services, or a related Engineering discipline
- PMP, CDCP, ATD, or equivalent mission‑critical qualifications would be advantageous
- The ambition and leadership capability to progress into senior Engineering Director or Program Delivery leadership roles as the organisation continues its rapid growth
