Parking Compliance Monitor

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the enforcement of parking regulations and operational policies in campus lots and structures.

Responsibilities

Percent of time 40%:

  • Issuing Citations.
  • Towing/Booting for parking violations.

Percent of time 20%:

  • Preparing daily reports.
  • Providing information to faculty/staff, employees, students and visitors regarding parking complaints, suggestions, concerns, directions, policies, or other campus‑related issues.
  • Directing traffic in and around parking structures to ensure safe and orderly ingress and egress.
  • Providing reserved accommodations for special events, special guests, or scheduled football games or other athletic events.

Percent of time 20%:

  • Providing backup and support for co‑workers in the event of a special event, employee absences, or any circumstance that exists, as well as the need to fill in and do what is needed to maintain the orderly function of the facility or department.
  • Performing periodic assistance in cleaning surface lots and associated vehicles and equipment particularly during slow periods.

Percent of time 20%:

  • Providing security by patrolling all levels of the facility or all areas of the parking lot for unauthorized parkers, litter patrol, suspicious persons, or illegal activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Driving as needed to perform job related duties.

  • Salary: $16.587 / hr (as of 7/1/25)
  • Work Schedule:

    40‑hour work week, Monday to Friday 3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.; can work weekends for special events as needed.
