Join a growing and well‑established manufacturing business as a Senior Staff Accountant
, reporting directly to the Finance Director. This is a great opportunity for a hands‑on accounting professional who enjoys variety, ownership, and being close to the day‑to‑day operations of the business.
You’ll play a key role in supporting core accounting and payroll activities, partnering closely with finance, HR, and plant leadership to ensure accuracy, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and wants to make a visible impact.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Oversee cash and treasury reporting
, maintaining accurate daily cash balances - Process weekly and semi-monthly payroll
, ensuring compliance with all procedures - Partner with HR to resolve payroll issues and implement process improvements
- Perform monthly AP/AR reconciliations with sister plants
- Support month‑end close
, physical inventory counts, audits, and budget preparation - Submit 401(k) contributions
, review tax payments, and maintain strict payroll confidentiality - Act as a backup for AP/AR functions and maintain supporting documentation
- Assist with financial reporting and provide technical accounting support as needed
- Good understanding of US GAAP
, IFRS, payroll, AP/AR, and cash management - Comfortable working with financial systems and reporting tools
- Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills
- Ability to explain financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders
- High school diploma or GED required;
Bachelor’s degree preferred
- This role requires onsite work at the company’s facility in lower Kentucky.
