Job DescriptionWe are seeking a strategic and hands‑on Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of a growing organization. This role is responsible for overseeing all core accounting functions, managing cash flow and financial reporting, improving operational processes, and providing financial insight to support executive decision‑making. The ideal candidate is a proactive finance leader with strong technical accounting knowledge, process improvement experience, and the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, growth‑oriented environment.
Primary Responsibilities- Lead all day‑to‑day accounting and financial operations of the organization.
- Prepare and oversee accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages for executive leadership.
- Develop and maintain KPI‑driven reporting and financial dashboards to support strategic decision‑making.
- Manage and improve the month‑end close process while ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal controls.
- Oversee company‑wide cash flow management, forecasting, and liquidity planning.
- Develop financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support operational and strategic initiatives.
- Monitor working capital and provide recommendations to optimize financial performance.
- Lead the annual budgeting process in partnership with department leaders and executive management.
- Prepare budget‑to‑actual variance analyses and provide actionable recommendations.
- Manage and mentor accounting and administrative staff, including accounting, payroll/HR, and accounts payable functions.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, and operational efficiency.
- Lead or support financial system implementations, upgrades, and integrations.
- Coordinate with external CPA firms and advisors regarding tax filings, financial reporting, and compliance matters.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance leadership experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience managing accounting operations and month‑end close processes
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- CPA designation preferred but not required
- Experience with ERP systems such as Sage Intacct preferred
- Experience with AP automation and spend management platforms such as Ramp preferred
- Timely and accurate financial reporting
- Strong cash flow visibility and forecasting
- Efficient close and accounting processes
