Tax Manager

Permanent Opportunity!

Up to $90,000k (DOE)

New Albany, Ohio (Onsite)

What the position offers:
  • 15 paid time off days per calendar year; prorated for the 2024 calendar year

What you’ll be doing
  • Manage and coordinate the preparation and filing of all tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other relevant filings
  • Monitor tax law and regulation changes to ensure compliance and identify opportunities for tax optimization
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize the organization's tax liabilities while maximizing tax benefits
  • Conduct tax research and analysis to guide complex tax issues and transactions
  • Lead and supervise a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations
  • Represent the organization in tax audits, inquiries, and negotiations with tax authorities
  • Collaborate with finance, accounting, and legal teams to integrate tax considerations into business decisions and transactions
  • Provide tax planning support for business expansion, restructuring, and other strategic initiatives
  • Prepare and review tax provisions, estimates, and disclosures for financial reporting
  • Maintain accurate tax records and documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements
Who we’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, 1-3 years of public accounting
  • CPA certification is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations
  • Experience with tax software and ERP systems, such as Ultra Tax and SAP
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex tax issues and provide strategic recommendations
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interact with senior management
  • Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing and developing a team of tax professionals
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with a commitment to accuracy and compliance
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
