Job Overview

The Consumer Banker works with existing First Financial Bank (FFB) clients and seeks new FFB clients to deepen relationships through direct booking of business and referral to internal partners such as Mortgage, Wealth, Small Business Banker Commercial, and Treasury Management.

• Open and maintain accounts, and run a teller drawer as needed.
• Support client engagement through active calling, conversations, and follow‑up.
• Execute daily activities aligned with the First Financial Bank Experience, partnering with internal constituencies to deliver expertise.
• Conduct client follow‑up calls within the required time frame.
• Maintain operational and risk‑management standards.
• Assist clients in transacting business in the branch, drive‑thru, phone, and email.
• Model behavior for peers and coworkers in line with First Financial’s mission and values.
• Adhere to all compliance and regulatory procedures.
• Track, report, and communicate business results and activities to the FCM partner.
• Collaborate with District Specialists to execute retail strategies that attract, retain, and grow core client relationships.
• Serve as a client’s trusted advisor, building deep relationships and adding value through the First Client Conversation Model.
• Participate and lead in the First Financial Bank Experience by attending site center huddles and meetings to support sales and service activities.
• Consistently meet or exceed sales, service, and referral goals set by management.
• Provide digital assistance and service for clients using the bank’s online offerings.
• Assist branch team, FCM, and District leaders in knowledge sharing, onboarding, and development of newer associates, and address staffing challenges.
• Stay informed of all bank products, processes, and procedures, especially complex ones.

• 3‑4 years of client experience in retail banking.
• Demonstrated success with consultative, needs‑based selling.
• Strong product knowledge of consumer and commercial deposits, investments, consumer loans, business loans, and treasury management.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with consumer and small‑business credit.

• Occasionally lift and carry up to 20 lbs.; frequently up to 10 lbs.
• Occasionally walk; frequently sit, stand, and drive.

• Pay Scale: $19.47/hr – $23.56/hr.
