Position: District Consumer Banker III (Kettering)

We are looking for a Consumer Banker to work with existing FFB clients and prospect for new FFB clients to deepen client relationships by booking business directly and referring, as appropriate, to internal business partners such as Mortgage, Wealth, Small Business Banking, Commercial, and Treasury Management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Open accounts and perform maintenance as required.
  • Run a teller drawer as deemed necessary by management.
  • Support client engagement through active calling, client conversations, and follow‑up.
  • Perform daily activities aligned with The First Financial Bank Experience (FFB Experience) including partnership with internal constituencies to provide appropriate service or solutions.
  • Ensure client follow‑up calls are conducted in a timely manner.
  • Maintain all operational and risk‑management standards.
  • Assist clients with transactions within the branch, drive‑thru, by phone and email.
  • Model professional behavior for peers and coworkers aligned with First Financials mission and values.
  • Adhere to all compliance and regulatory procedures.
  • Track, report, and communicate business results and activities to their FCM partner.
  • Collaborate with district specialists to execute retail strategies and objectives.
  • Serve as client’s personal trusted advisor, adding value and building deep client relationships via the First Client Conversation Model.
  • Participate and lead in the First Financial Bank Experience through site center huddles and meetings.
  • Consistently meet or exceed sales, service, and referral goals set by management.
  • Provide digital assistance and service for clients establishing or needing support with online banking.
  • Stay informed and up to date on all bank products, processes, and procedures, especially the most complex ones.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • 3–4 years of client experience and retail banking.
  • Demonstrated success with consultative, needs‑based selling.
  • Strong product knowledge related to consumer and commercial deposits, investments, consumer loans, business loans, and treasury management.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with consumer and small business credit.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • Advanced knowledge of consumer and commercial suite of products and services.
  • Experience managing 20+ client relationships simultaneously.
  • Experience operating within multiple banking centers.
Compliance Statement

The associate is responsible for meeting all compliance requirements imposed on First Financial Bank by state and federal law and regulation, including BSA, AML, OFAC, and suspicious activity reporting, and all related First Financial Bank policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements
  • Occasionally lifts and carries up to 20 lbs.
  • Frequently lifts and carries up to 10 lbs.
  • Occasionally walks; frequently sits, stands, and drives.
Travel Requirements

Daily travel shall not exceed 60 miles per day. Travel between banking centers as well as mileage reimbursement above current commute will qualify for business related reimbursement.

Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay scale: $19.47/hr – $23.56/hr.

  • All roles are incentive eligible, except co‑op, intern, or student positions.
