Associate Regional Director

Job Title

The advertised salary reflects the minimum and maximum pay for the locations listed. Upon selection, the salary will be set in accordance with the selectee's assigned duty location. The Associate Regional Director provides expertise, advice, and recommendations to the Regional Director to assess the fiduciary conduct of plan officials and service providers; determine the appropriateness of plan administration, plan financial activities and investments;

evaluate compliance with ERISA and related Federal laws.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Plan and assign work based on employees' skills and workload, evaluate employee performance, set performance standards, and identify training and development needs.
• Analyze technical issues and review enforcement work products to assess legal sufficiency, ensure consistent interpretation, and verify technical quality and compliance with policy, legal precedent, and the impact of decisions.
• Oversee the regional Benefits Advisors unit to ensure inquiries are handled timely and according to SOPs and regional procedures.
• Analyze new, complex, or precedential issues involving plan administration, financial activities, investments, and fiduciary conduct while providing expert guidance to investigators and staff on applying ERISA and related laws, regulations, and court or policy developments.
