Position: School Based Therapist - Slippery Rock Area School District - (Part-Time)

Position Summary

School Based Therapist – Part‑time (up to 29 hours per week) at the Slippery Rock Area School District, Slippery Rock, PA. This role primarily works in a school setting, providing individual, group, and family therapy to students and collaborating with school staff and the clinical team.

Location & Schedule

Slippery Rock, PA (Slippery Rock Area School District). Flexible schedule with Monday‑Friday school hours. Minimum 6 billable hours per week. Position is part‑time, up to 29 hours per week.

Compensation

Non‑licensed clinicians: $42.00 per billable hour plus $15.00 per administrative/training hour.

Licensed clinicians (LPC, LCSW, LMFT): $48.00 per billable hour plus $15.00 per administrative/training hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete intakes, including psycho‑social assessment, initial treatment plan, and required legal consents for assigned school‑based clients.
  • Develop measurable treatment goals in collaboration with clients and guardians.
  • Complete treatment reviews in accordance with outpatient regulations.
  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy as indicated by the treatment plan.
  • Maintain timely clinical progress notes that reference the treatment plan.
  • Consult regularly with the designated psychiatrist and school‑based supervisor to ensure effective collaboration.
  • Participate in individual and group clinical supervision activities as scheduled.
  • Communicate and collaborate with school district personnel as needed.
  • Attend in‑service and professional development activities.
  • Meet agency productivity requirements.
  • Enter clinical documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in a timely manner per program guidelines.
Requirements
  • Must have the ability to provide audio/visual/verbal supervision and perform essential job functions.
  • Must demonstrate emotional stability to perform essential job functions.
  • Established effective working relationships with agency personnel and community agencies.
  • Open to supervision and able to adjust hours to meet job requirements.
  • Works independently with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality of clients.
  • Supports the agency’s mission and core values.
  • Eligible for PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse History clearance, and FBI clearance.
Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in a clinically recognized discipline with a clinical practicum, or an equivalent foreign degree evaluated by AICE or NACES.
  • Professional license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) preferred; a license in a recognized clinical discipline that includes mental health clinical experience satisfies the requirement.
  • Licensed Social Worker – LSW does not meet the professional license requirement.
