Position Summary
School Based Therapist – Part‑time (up to 29 hours per week) at the Slippery Rock Area School District, Slippery Rock, PA. This role primarily works in a school setting, providing individual, group, and family therapy to students and collaborating with school staff and the clinical team.
Location & ScheduleSlippery Rock, PA (Slippery Rock Area School District). Flexible schedule with Monday‑Friday school hours. Minimum 6 billable hours per week. Position is part‑time, up to 29 hours per week.
CompensationNon‑licensed clinicians: $42.00 per billable hour plus $15.00 per administrative/training hour.
Licensed clinicians (LPC, LCSW, LMFT): $48.00 per billable hour plus $15.00 per administrative/training hour.
- Complete intakes, including psycho‑social assessment, initial treatment plan, and required legal consents for assigned school‑based clients.
- Develop measurable treatment goals in collaboration with clients and guardians.
- Complete treatment reviews in accordance with outpatient regulations.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy as indicated by the treatment plan.
- Maintain timely clinical progress notes that reference the treatment plan.
- Consult regularly with the designated psychiatrist and school‑based supervisor to ensure effective collaboration.
- Participate in individual and group clinical supervision activities as scheduled.
- Communicate and collaborate with school district personnel as needed.
- Attend in‑service and professional development activities.
- Meet agency productivity requirements.
- Enter clinical documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) in a timely manner per program guidelines.
- Must have the ability to provide audio/visual/verbal supervision and perform essential job functions.
- Must demonstrate emotional stability to perform essential job functions.
- Established effective working relationships with agency personnel and community agencies.
- Open to supervision and able to adjust hours to meet job requirements.
- Works independently with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintains confidentiality of clients.
- Supports the agency’s mission and core values.
- Eligible for PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse History clearance, and FBI clearance.
- Graduate degree in a clinically recognized discipline with a clinical practicum, or an equivalent foreign degree evaluated by AICE or NACES.
- Professional license (LCSW, LPC, LMFT) preferred; a license in a recognized clinical discipline that includes mental health clinical experience satisfies the requirement.
- Licensed Social Worker – LSW does not meet the professional license requirement.
