How You Make a DifferenceAs a Psychologist in a correctional or detention facility, you will provide clinical mental health services to inmate patients, supervise and guide mental health professionals, and ensure services align with professional training and facility expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical and consultation services consistent with professional standards and institutional policies.
- Conduct direct clinical services, including diagnosis, treatment, psychological testing, and crisis intervention.
- Ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards of care and participate in quality improvement activities.
- Develop and implement goals and objectives for clinical services and assist in staff recruitment and selection.
- Notify appropriate personnel of serious incidents and provide professional education and staff development as needed.
Education
- Doctorate in psychology and experience with mental health delivery systems.
Experience
- Significant professional experience in the mental field, indicating knowledge of diagnosis and treatment of psychological disorders and psychological evaluation techniques, including psychological assessment instruments.
Licenses/Certifications
- Licensed to practice psychology in the State of employment by the appropriate state licensing agency.
- This position offers a $9K bonus.
- This is a full‑time/day shift position.
- Candidate must have an active license registered in the state of KY.
- This position offers an Approved Housing Allowance.
