Job Title Patient Care Technician - Skilled Nursing Dialysis (DSD)
Schedule 3-4 Days A Week, 12+ Hour Shifts

What you can expectIn this role, you take responsibility for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track. PCTs will work in conjunction with dialysis RNs to provide dialysis care.
Primary work scheduleThe PCT will be based at our site in The Laurels of Huber Heights, and may be asked to support additional surrounding sites depending on business needs. Operations function Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Scheduled days will vary based on market needs.
Responsibilities- Spending the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment.
Provide comprehensive patient care in an independent setting. You monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment, including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. You apply core skills to manage care and observe how your work impacts patients’ lives.
ComplexityDSD Dialysis care is a complex but fulfilling service line. Meeting and/or exceeding clinical outcomes are the goals and multitasking is an expectation to meet the needs of the service, the patients and SNF partners.
Some details about this position- Your training includes classroom and hands-on learning through DaVita’s training programs.
- Training may take place in a facility or training clinic with a class of new teammates other than your assigned home clinic.
- Hours of work may vary during the training period; typically between 32-40 hours per week during training.
- May be asked to support other local SNF dens.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- OCDT certification
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
- Training/Teaching/Healthcare Education background
