** Patient Access Coordinator
** to join our Primary Care team in the LaGrange area.
As a Patient Access Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring patients have a smooth and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive or call our office. If you’re passionate about customer service, thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team, we’d love to meet you.## What You’ll DoIn this role, you will:
* Welcome patients and provide outstanding customer service in person and over the phone.
* Register patients accurately by collecting demographic, insurance, and visit information.
* Verify insurance eligibility, Medicare compliance, and patient benefits before appointments.
* Pre-register patients and discuss insurance benefits and financial responsibilities with confidence and compassion.
* Calculate patient responsibility estimates and collect point-of-service payments while explaining payment expectations and available payment options.
* Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed.
* Utilize patient access and registration software to support efficient office operations.
* Ensure compliance with state, federal, and organizational regulations related to patient access services.
* Complete ongoing education and training requirements.
* Support the team by performing additional administrative duties as needed.## What We’re Looking For

* Preferred Qualifications:
*** High school diploma or equivalent.
* Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
* Knowledge of medical terminology.
* Strong computer and data entry skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
