Minimum
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Current Registered Respiratory Therapist ( RRT ) credential or Certified Respiratory Therapist ( CRT ) credential.
- Current state of Ohio respiratory care license in good standing.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical respiratory care experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy, Healthcare, Education, or a related field.
- Previous teaching, preceptor, or clinical instructor experience.
- Experience in simulation-based education and critical care
The Adjunct Instructor provides high-quality instruction and fosters a positive, engaging learning environment that promotes student learning and success. With primary responsibility for teaching, supporting, and evaluating students, the Adjunct Instructor provides instruction in assigned classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical courses as determined by academic leadership and program needs. The position facilitates student learning through a variety of instructional methods, including lectures, discussions, demonstrations, case studies, hands‑on activities, and other active learning strategies.
Instructor will:
- evaluate student performance, provides timely and constructive feedback, and maintains accurate attendance, grading, and assessment records.
- ensure compliance with institutional policies, academic standards, program requirements, and applicable accreditation standards while collaborating effectively with students, faculty, and academic leadership.
- serve as a professional role model and mentor
- demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- engage learners by presenting complex concepts in a clear and meaningful manner.

Assignments may include daytime, evening, weekend, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction based on program needs.
