Event Server

Principal responsibility is to provide friendly, attentive, and timely service to create exceptional experiences for all guests for contracted events at The Madison Event Center and Hotel Covington.

• Remain guest focused while performing all assigned duties before, during and after an event
• Assume 100% responsibility for the quality of each guest’s experience
• Welcome and greet guests upon entering The Madison Event Center/Hotel Covington
• Provide information about our food, beverages and other functions and services
• Perform side work during each shift as assigned by Banquet Captain
• Maintain clean and fully stocked prep area, restrooms and ballroom
• Ready and willing to assist other team members with event duties
• Handle tables, chairs, linens, tableware and décor carefully to prevent breakage and loss
• Always follow safe food handling guidelines
• Clean and reset ballroom at the end of every event
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and provide suggestions for improvement
• Other duties as assigned

• Positive, upbeat attitude, and works well with all team members
• Must be able to work weekends as late as 3:00 AM
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Punctual
• Energetic and motivated personality
• Excellent oral communication and listening skills
• Ability to follow directions
• Be willing to work until the job is complete and perform other duties assigned
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
• Black pants (You provide) and long sleeve black shirt (We Provide)
• Black non-slip shoes with black socks (You Provide)
• Part-time hours will vary depending on events scheduled
• Eligible for annual review and merit
