The Schuylkill Valley School District is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Coordinator of Human Resources to support and enhance the experience of our most valuable asset, our people. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping a positive workplace culture while supporting the operational excellence of our school system.
Position OverviewThe Coordinator of Human Resources assists in planning and coordinating all aspects of the district's human resources functions in a way that enhances working conditions and promotes the overall efficiency of the school system.
What You'll Do- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records for all district employees
- Manage HR data systems including PIMS and TIMS and ensure accurate state reporting
- Coordinate employee benefits, including enrollment, compliance notifications, and workers' compensation tracking
- Support recruitment and onboarding by posting positions, coordinating interviews, and assisting candidates
- Oversee employee attendance, leave tracking, and sick leave bank processes
- Collaborate with district leadership, Board committees, and regional partners
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, collective bargaining agreements, and district policies
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Three (3) or more years of relevant experience (school district experience preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of HR systems, employee benefits, and regulatory compliance
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage detailed records and data
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred, or a demonstrated commitment to pursuing HR certification
- A collaborative mindset and commitment to supporting a positive, service-oriented culture
- 12-month, full-time position
- Salary Range: $63,000 to $95,500 (based on experience)
