HR Payroll Specialist

Christian Appalachian Project is seeking a Human Resources Payroll Specialist who is passionate about people, committed to excellence, and ready to make a meaningful impact through their work. This is more than a payroll position. We are looking for an experienced professional who can successfully manage payroll administration, leave administration (FMLA and other employee leave programs), and employee support, while serving as a trusted and positive member of our Human Resources team.

• Prior payroll administration experience
• Experience administering FMLA and employee leave programs
• Exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required

Associates in a Related Field Preferred

2 or more years of successful experience in related field or combination of education and experience

Extensive related experience may substitute for education requirements and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Possess a Valid Kentucky Driver's License and Maintain a Safe Driving Record Required

CAP Driving Certification* (or ability to obtain within first 90 days) Required

* In order to drive personal vehicle on CAP business, must obtain and maintain a policy of motor vehicle insurance coverage on privately-owned vehicle with insurance coverage amounts of $50,000 bodily injury per person per accident; $100,000 bodily injury for all bodily injuries per accident; and $50,000 property damage per accident.

• Ability to reach, push, pull, bend, stoop, stand, walk
• Lift 45 lbs
• Lifts/moves items with unknown weight or that are awkward shapes and sizes with assistance
• Sit for extended periods of time
• Have good visual acuity with corrective lenses
• Have good hearing capabilities
