Versailles Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, located in the charming community of Versailles, Ohio, is seeking an experienced and people-focused Human Resources Director to join our leadership team.

In this highly visible role, you’ll help shape the employee experience from the very first interaction. You’ll lead recruitment, onboarding, retention, employee relations, payroll, and compliance while creating a workplace where team members feel welcomed, supported, and valued.

• Manage day-to-day HR operations, including recruitment, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, employee relations, and recordkeeping.

• Develop creative recruiting strategies to attract qualified candidates and maintain a strong talent pipeline.

• Accurately process biweekly payroll and maintain complete employee and payroll records.

• Create a welcoming and organized onboarding experience that helps new employees feel connected and prepared.

• Partner with facility leadership to strengthen employee engagement, improve retention, and reduce turnover.

• Serve as a trusted and approachable resource for employees and supervisors.

• Support performance management, coaching, conflict resolution, and corrective-action processes.

• Ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and applicable healthcare regulations.

• Coordinate employee recognition, appreciation, wellness, and training initiatives.

• Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee matters with professionalism and sound judgment.

• Monitor key HR trends and metrics and recommend practical solutions that support facility goals.

• At least three years of HR experience, preferably in a leadership role.

• Healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care experience is strongly preferred.

• Experience processing payroll and working with HRIS, timekeeping, or scheduling platforms such as Paycor, Smart Linx, or similar systems.

• Working knowledge of employment laws, HR compliance requirements, and best practices.

• Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail and follow-through.

• Effective communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
