Purposeof the Role
Data and Analytics is a key enabler of their ambitious business strategy and the Senior Data Scientist role is critical for their growing global organization. Working closely with the Head of Data & Analytics, this role will help guide the business toward an agile, value-focused Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics mindset and capability—built on a shared data asset to support and elevate their global and local reporting, analytics and AI adoption.
The role will collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that their data is accessible to all and will help drive the cultural shift toward becoming a data-driven organization.
- Understands the decision-making process, workflows, and business and information needs of regional commercial and functional leads and their teams.
- Translates business needs into analytics/reporting requirements to support executive decisions and workflows with required information.
- Coordinates with data consumers (functional and commercial leads) to understand their information needs.
- Design, build, and optimize BI dashboards, reports, and visualizations to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
- Manage and configure BI tools (e.g., Power BI) to meet business requirements and ensure efficient performance.
- Provide ongoing support to business users, offering training on BI tools and data-driven decision-making techniques across different levels of the organization.
- Interacts with IT application specialists (e.g., S/4
Hana) and external application vendors to understand how information is stored, modeled, and tagged. - Develops frameworks and processes to analyze structured and unstructured information collected through different platforms and sources.
- Works closely with global and regional heads and managers for knowledge sharing, mentoring, and training.
- Acts as a go-to-person for end users to interpret and use information.
- Stay up to date with the latest data science and AI tools and trends, and apply them to improve existing models and processes.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a data analysis or data science role.
- Minimum 2 years of experience across Microsoft Azure services and Power BI.
- Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights, providing strategic recommendations to drive business decisions.
- Proficient in SQL for data querying and in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, R) for data analysis, automation, and machine learning tasks.
- Familiarity with data warehousing techniques and ETL processes.
- Demonstrated ability to engage both developers and business stakeholders (global, regional leads) to achieve target outcomes.
- Ability to build data and analytics governance culture, and embed this in their teams and ways of working.
- Experience working with SAP systems and functional knowledge of Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain operations within the FMCG sector is considered an asset.
- Fluent in English.
