Marketing and Communications Data Analyst Student Assistant
Position Summary:
The Marketing and Communications Data Analyst Assistant will assist in cleaning, transforming, and validating data to ensure high data quality and reliability, support the development and distribution of weekly reports by aggregating and analyzing data from Google Analytics 4, Sprout Social, and Meltwater, and create compelling visual representations of data using Tableau and Excel to help communicate insights effectively to stakeholders.
- Data Cleaning & Transformation:
Assist in cleaning, transforming, and validating data to ensure high quality and reliability. Gain experience with ETL processes and data wrangling techniques. - Weekly Data Reporting:
Support the development and distribution of weekly reports by aggregating and analyzing data from Google Analytics 4, Sprout Social, and Meltwater. Learn how to automate reporting processes and interpret key metrics. - Data Visualization:
Create compelling visual representations of data using Tableau and Excel to help communicate insights effectively to stakeholders. - Digital Analytics & Campaign Analysis:
Gain hands‑on experience with digital analytics by analyzing web traffic, social media performance, and marketing campaign effectiveness.
- Academic Standing:
Preferred GPA of 3.5, or at least 3.3. - Technical Proficiency:
Basic understanding and/or desire to learn tools and platforms such as R‑Studio, Excel, Tableau, Google Analytics 4, Google Ads, Sprout Social, Bit.ly, and Meltwater. - Data Literacy:
Familiarity with data cleaning techniques, data visualization concepts, and basic statistical analysis. - Analytical Mindset:
Possess a natural curiosity to explore data, uncover trends, and solve complex problems. Demonstrate keen attention to detail and a proactive approach.
