The Office of Information Services (OIS) supports the delivery of health, human, and employment services through information technology. OIS manages programs for millions of recipients using automated information systems.
What You Will DoSupport and expand the Ohio Department of Job & Family Services’ Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment, collaborating with Azure professionals and Dev Ops teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provision, manage and monitor GCP resources such as Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, GKE, Cloud Storage, IAM, and VPC networking.
- Validate and troubleshoot Terraform modules and deployment plans.
- Support CI/CD pipelines for GCP applications using Cloud Build, Git Hub Actions or Azure Dev Ops.
- Monitor performance, cost and security with Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging and Security Command Center.
- Define and enforce naming conventions, tagging strategies and IAM policies.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deploy secure, scalable, compliant cloud solutions.
- Document procedures and contribute to internal GCP best practices.
- Manage code repositories and build policies in GCP Secure Source Manager.
- Administer Dialogflow and Vertex AI services.
- Confirm Terraform scripts align with agency‑approved configurations.
- Assist in troubleshooting failed Terraform deployments.
Occasional travel within the state of Ohio.
QualificationsMinimum qualifications (option
3):
- Completion of an undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems.
- 36 months combined experience developing and maintaining IT solutions, evaluating risks, and recommending improvements.
- 12 months experience with Cloud Services Administration.
Additional experience or higher education is accepted under alternative options.

- Step 9: $59.70/hour ($124,176/yr)
