IT User Support Specialist

This position will report to the User Support Manager and will be located at the Distribution Center(s). The role is designed to be a limited extension of our corporate User Support team. Objectives of the role include working with the Distribution Center Operation personnel to aid in repairing devices, conducting inventory, and other projects assigned by the IT department. During the designated time, this employee will complete the following tasks:

Review tickets for all assigned requests and work to completion

Create ticket(s) for issues that are reported but not documented, and then work to resolve or escalate as deemed appropriate

Review non-functional associate devices (wrist-mounted devices, barcode scanners, computers, and / or mobile printers), and perform any necessary troubleshooting or maintenance per department guidelines

Maintain and conduct inventory of all IT devices and IT supplies at the designated location

Maintain records of sites' spare IT devices and update records if their status changes, as well as request IT supplies to ensure adequate on-hand inventory

Identify and address printer problems in office and warehouse environments

Help with IT projects as requested by the corporate IT team Assist with answering end-user phone calls in the company's designated phone system on an as-needed basis

Demonstrate a proactive, “go-getter” mindset with a strong sense of ownership and accountability

Prioritize tasks independently and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
** This position will not have access to network hardware, servers, the data center, or data center equipment
** Ability to lift 50 pounds

Preferred that the applicant has an interest in Information Technology Preferred, but not required, someone in school or a recent graduate with an Information Technology degree
