The Data Analyst will be part of a growing team in the Law
360 newsroom, working across the United States. In this role you will help conduct surveys, research, and rankings that support the organization’s efforts to report on the legal industry. You will collaborate with editors, reporters, and graphic designers to analyze and present data, while also managing data quality, cleaning, and verification. Training will be provided.

• Conduct surveys and develop the methodologies used in annual reports and rankings.
• Collaborate with editors on research projects based on survey and publicly available data.
• Create data visualizations from surveys and other data.
• Participate in drafting and presenting key research findings to reporters and editors.
• Combine, clean, and verify data from multiple sources.
• Manage the organization’s data set, working with stakeholders in Editorial and IT on data management.

• At least 1 year of related experience in data management, cleaning, and analysis (coursework may count).
• Strong teamwork, collaboration, and relationship‑building skills; ability to work independently.
• Expertise in quantitative analytical tools and advanced Excel (Pivot Tables).
• Familiarity with Python and/or R programming.
• Experience with data visualization techniques.
• Comfort handling data of varying quality from multiple sources.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas to diverse audiences.
• Familiarity with survey research methodologies is preferred.
• Familiarity with Databricks is preferred.
