Systems Engineer, Cybersecurity
Under the direction of the Director of IT Infrastructure, the IT Network Engineer will provide oversight, installation, and remediation of all company network infrastructure equipment. The role involves upgrading and installing hardware and software, performing troubleshooting to resolve IT network related issues, and assisting with maintenance of networks and servers. The engineer will create and maintain a scalable, reliable network architecture, oversee the production pharmacy LAN environment, and manage projects related to upgrades and enhancements.
Responsibilities- Monitor and maintain networks and associated server components.
- Upgrade existing hardware as required.
- Install and configure new hardware and software to meet company objectives.
- Implement security protocols and procedures to prevent potential threats.
- Assess existing network services, operating systems, and security programs.
- Provide proactive monitoring and analysis of network systems and components.
- Perform diagnostic tests and debugging procedures to optimize network availability.
- Document processes, back up and archive configurations.
- Maintain continuous documentation of network IP address schemes, network elements, and create network maps.
- Communicate technical information to technical and non‑technical team members.
- Stay up to date with advancements and best practices related to Network Infrastructure.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
- CCNA certification required; CCNP preferred.
- Strong project management skills.
- Extensive experience with IT systems, networks, and related technologies.
- Solid knowledge of best practices in IT administration or system administration.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time‑management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on rapport‑building, listening, and questioning.
- Customer service orientation.
- Preference for Azure Cloud Network experience.
- CCNA certification required; CCNP preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Azure environments.
- Experience with Cisco ACI required.
- Experience with Cisco Voice Solutions required, including extensive knowledge of Cisco Jabber and Cisco Finesse Call Center functionality.
- Comprehensive understanding of network services, routing, and switching.
- Experience implementing and supporting TCP/IP, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and MPLS.
- Strong understanding of VPN fundamentals and best practices.
- Experience with virtual environments including VMWare and Hyper‑V.
- Experience with SD‑WAN preferred.
- Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions.
- Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot Wi‑Fi and security infrastructure.
- Resolve problems with various systems and programs.
- ITIL fundamental knowledge and experience a plus.
- Experience in manufacturing and/or production environments preferred.
- Remain seated more than 50% of the workday.
- Operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
- Lift up to 50 lbs as required.
- Bend and work around office environments.
- Off‑hours work and travel as required.
- Commute to multiple site locations within the assigned territory.
- Work extended hours as needed.
- Full‑time position; average 40 hours per week.
- Availability outside normal business hours on an ad‑hoc basis.
- Schedules may be adjusted as needed.
