About the Role

The IT Business Systems Analyst – Claims will be part of the Claims Technology team, responsible for delivering impactful change that aligns with company and department goals. The role leads in identifying business and system requirements for PURE’s Claims system and integrated systems, providing efficient and creative solutions to business problems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with IT Project Leads and business stakeholders to identify and execute requirements.
  • Take the lead in eliciting, defining, and evaluating business and system requirements for PURE’s Claims Management System and other integrated systems.
  • Own the requirement lifecycle: document, review, approve, manage change control, develop, test, and implement solutions that satisfy business needs.
  • Prepare UAT plans, scenarios, and test cases; partner with the business team to document UAT plans, roles, and responsibilities; follow through with UAT testing and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with geographically dispersed IT teams (internal and offshore) to analyze and resolve production support issues, document them in Rally, and provide timely follow‑up to the Agile team.
  • Assist business groups in identifying unforeseen areas for improvement—whether process improvements or system enhancements.
  • Participate in production support activities and work with end users to understand and resolve system issues.
Qualifications and Experience
  • 3+ years of property and casualty insurance work experience.
  • Proficiency with claims platforms; expertise in Guidewire Claim Center and Contact Manager strongly preferred, with on‑premises experience.
  • Experience in personal lines insurance IT projects, understanding claims, product development, quoting, underwriting, rating, and workflow.
  • Experience with third‑party integrations and interfaces such as CCC, Xact, Claimatic, One Inc, Copart, and others.
  • AI experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting effectively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks.
  • Ability to analyze problems, recommend solutions, and build strong relationships with internal customers.
  • Consensus‑building skills and the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
  • Knowledge of XML and SQL Server with ability to write basic queries.
Additional Requirements
  • Occasionally may work a few hours on a weekend or late night in support of scheduled system releases.
  • Base salary ranges from $55,000 to $70,000, dependent on skills, experience, location, and market data.
  • All new hires must work onsite at one of our offices during the first week of employment.
