IT Infrastructure Specialist

North Key Community Care is hiring for an IT Infrastructure Specialist. This is a full‑time position, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on‑site at 502 Farrell Drive, Covington, KY 41011.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintenance and upgrades, recommendations regarding purchasing, reviewing system logs and tools for possible issues and resolutions, reviewing future changes to enhance security and privacy, and other duties as assigned.
  • Coordinates HIPAA compliance oversight with HIPAA Security and Privacy Officer.
  • Maintain an appropriate and business‑like manner in dealing with all internal staff, Board members, state and governmental staff, sub‑contractors, and vendors of North Key.
  • Proper representation as a North Key employee to the public.
DUTIES
  • Assures organizational compliance with HIPAA, in particular as it relates to healthcare security.
  • Works with HIPAA Security and Privacy Officers to accomplish HIPAA compliance.
  • Maintains current knowledge of HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Plans for future development, manages, and maintains all infrastructure equipment, including but not limited to firewalls, switches, point‑to‑point systems, wireless access points, cabling, cable panels, external systems such as all internet connections, and other network‑related items.
  • Assists with maintaining and managing desktop and laptop hardware/software, peripherals, workstation/server management software, helpdesk, anti‑virus systems, software, network/server/computer/mobile device security, server hardware/software, mobile devices, and enterprise storage.
  • Collaborates and coordinates with leadership, management, and staff to plan for and implement the organization’s technology needs in support of the organization’s business growth and development.
  • Conducts routine and emergency maintenance of network hardware/software, peripherals, and other equipment/software.
  • Must be available for on‑call and after‑hours activities in the event of emergencies and scheduled projects that must occur after‑hours, without disrupting regular business activities.
  • Manage relationships with vendors/partners to accomplish the above tasks.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • A bachelor’s degree in information systems, Computer Science, or a similar degree is strongly preferred. Demonstrated experience may replace a degree.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Experience/Training/Certification in one or more of the following:
    Windows OS (10+), KACE (Quest), Anti‑Virus Software (ESET), VMware, Microsoft Server OS, Active Directory, Office 365, and Enterprise Storage Solutions (Net App).
  • Experience/Training with desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, installation and maintenance, WAN/LAN equipment (Cisco Preferred), and MS SQL Server.
  • Experience/Training in a healthcare environment and/or with HIPAA rules/regulations is preferred.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with others.
  • Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
  • Ability to drive a motor vehicle.
