For a global leader in the trade credit insurance sector.

Responsibilities
  • Execute day-to-day pricing and underwriting for new business opportunities (collecting documents by Brokers and assessing relevant information)
  • Assess loss history and evaluate client / manufacturing risk data as well as technical input on a variety of standard risks
  • Collaborate with team and maintain new underwriting, renewals, reinsurance activities according to international standards
  • Appoint risk assessors and external parties to assess risk, claims etc., including provision of appropriate instructions
  • Execute the underwriting process by ensuring the accuracy, completeness of relevant information and support documentation for standard operation
  • Partner with risk managers and sales during all phases of underwriting process e.g. new requests, renewals and annual reviews of existing portfolio
  • Prepare policies determining appropriate wording and insurance policy terms and conditions
  • Maintain knowledge and understanding of own local market, and correctly execute underwriting strategy in area of responsibility
  • Maintain a correct understanding of natural perils and their assessment, and apply appropriate referral process to exceptions
  • Degree in Engineering, Insurance, Statistics or other relevant field
  • Master's degree and/or any insurance relevant professional qualifications are considered an asset
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in a similar role
  • Proven knowledge of Engineering Risks (MB/CMI, CECR, EEI, BI), and Project Risks
  • EAR/CAR (annual, single), ALOP, BI, Project Cargo, TPL, Energy Risks.
  • Understanding of R/I concepts and line size considerations
  • Knowledge and application of Nat Cat rating tools, PML/EML calculation
  • Knowledge of risk management elements
  • Excellent command of Greek and English language (spoken & written)
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail
