Real Estate Transactions Associate​/Counsel

Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Associate or Counsel to join our dynamic and collaborative Real Estate Practice Group, focusing on general commercial real estate matters. This position is open to candidates in any of our Ohio office locations. The ideal candidate will possess 5–7+ years of commercial real estate experience, with a focus on: commercial real estate development, purchases and sales, corporate real estate, leasing, and mortgage lending.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with partners and senior attorneys, supporting a broad range of real estate transactions and client needs.

• Support a broad range of real estate transactions for clients in the practice group, including development, acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, mortgage lending, and corporate real estate matters.
• Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to advise clients on commercial real estate matters.
• Assist with drafting, negotiating, and closing documents related to real estate transactions.

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in the relevant state, or eligibility for admission.
• 5-7+ years of experience in commercial real estate transactions, preferably at a law firm or in-house legal department.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Experience with a variety of commercial real estate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, and leasing.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Strong communication and client service skills.
