SUPPLY CHAIN INTERNJOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Supply Chain Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands‑on experience in various aspects of the supply chain, including logistics, inventory management, and data analysis. The intern will work closely with our supply chain team to support daily operations and contribute to projects aimed at optimizing efficiency and reducing costs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support inventory management efforts, including monitoring stock levels, conducting cycle counts, and reconciling discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to track order status, resolve issues, and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Assist in the implementation of materials planning processes and systems to optimize inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the materials management function.
  • Gain industry knowledge of local transportation market, transportation providers and capabilities.
  • Participate in the on‑line Small Package Parcel billing/payment process.
  • Become familiar with company PFEP (plan for every part) business process and participate in freight studies.
  • Support downloading and updating plant PFEPs.
  • Support plant layout with proper 5S taping and labeling of floor and racking.
  • Validate data inputs into the GMOS.
  • Support documentation (templates / checklists) for all new programs.
  • Help lead time studies on the dock / dloc locations. Prepare reports and presentations to communicate key metrics, findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the overall goals of the materials management team.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in supply chain management, operations management, business administration, or related field.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude towards tackling new challenges.
  • Previous internship or coursework related to materials management, procurement, or supply chain management is a plus.
