Key Responsibilities
1. Business Development & Project Acquisition
Lead efforts in lobbying and securing steelworks projects from developers, consultants, main contractors and government agencies. Identify new market opportunities and expand the company’s steelworks portfolio. Monitor market trends, pricing movements and competitor activities.
2. Pre-Tender & Cost ManagementOversee pre-tender cost quantification and estimation for steelworks projects. Review technical drawings, specifications and tender documents. Lead tender clarifications, negotiations and contract discussions. Approve final tender submissions prior to management sign-off.
3. Project Management & Execution- Oversee end-to-end project management from award to completions.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and in accordance with specifications.
- Supervise project managers, engineers, supervisors and subcontractors.
- Monitor fabrication, delivery, and installation schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and statutory requirements.
Plan and control manpower allocation across multiple projects. Optimize deployment of site supervisors, welders, fabricators and subcontractors.
5. Financial & Operational ControlReview progress claims and variation orders. Approve subcontractor payments and cost reports. Provide regular management reports on project and financial performance.
