Summary

Under the responsibility of the Manager, the Operations Supervisor supervises, coordinates, and oversees daily logistics operations. The role includes coaching, development, and training staff, recommending improvements to facilities and processes, and ensuring performance aligns with business objectives.

Essential Functions
  • Supervise, coordinate, and oversee day‑to‑day logistics operations
  • Plan and review logistics processes with the Logistics Manager to ensure compliance with company standards and customer service specifications
  • Establish work schedules and procedures, coordinating activities of workers to ensure optimal shift/team logistics
  • Accountable for site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Collaborate with customers across all aspects of operations
  • Meet regularly with team members to monitor progress, track performance, coach, counsel, and recognize successes
  • Cultivate team spirit with a Diversity and Inclusion initiative and promote cooperation by seeking opportunities to improve internal processes
  • Carry out performance evaluations of team members and recommend awards or merit increases when appropriate
  • Address performance problems through corrective action and disciplinary process
  • Understand labor agreements and maintain positive labor relations with all employees
  • Responsible for implementation of health & safety and security initiatives, practices, and adherence to company rules and policies
  • Provide appropriate orientation for employees and Lead Hands, ensuring they have the information, technology, and materials necessary to perform their jobs

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • One (1) year or more experience in transportation, warehouse, or distribution environment preferred
  • Zero to one (1) year of direct supervisory/leadership experience required

Compensation and Benefits

Salaried: $60,000 – $65,000 per year. Eligible for annual bonus, commission, and/or long‑term incentive plan based on level and type.
